Yountville
Short runs in both directions and a village you can cross on foot. The least backtracking of any Napa base.
Yountville pickupsWe collect throughout Napa Valley and Sonoma County, and from San Francisco and the Bay Area airports. Which of those you are starting from matters more than most visitors expect.
Napa Valley is around thirty miles end to end and Sonoma County is considerably larger. In both, the useful question is not how far you are from the wineries — it is how far you are from them in each direction.
A base in the middle of a valley can go north or south each morning and change its mind at lunch. A base at one end can only go one way, which is not worse but is a different kind of day: the itinerary becomes a line rather than a loop, and the furthest stop should be the first one.
One valley, two roads, and about thirty miles of it. Where you sit on that line is the whole question.
Short runs in both directions and a village you can cross on foot. The least backtracking of any Napa base.
Yountville pickupsBest placed for the upper valley, and the one town where the valley’s main road becomes the high street.
St. Helena pickupsEvery itinerary runs one way. The longest departure morning in the valley, and worth planning first.
Calistoga pickupsWe collect from hotels, inns, private homes and rentals across the rest of the valley too, including the town of Napa and the estates around Oakville and Rutherford. The pages above exist where the town itself changes the plan in a way worth writing down.
Not one valley but several, spread across a much larger county. Here the base decides which region you can realistically tour at all.
Three appellations begin within minutes of the same square. The strongest base for tasting in the county.
Healdsburg pickupsWe also collect from Sonoma and the villages along Highway 12, from Santa Rosa and Windsor, and from properties out towards the Russian River. As in Napa, a town gets its own page when its position genuinely changes how the day should be built.
Both work. Both mean the travel comes out of the day rather than being added to the end of it, which is worth planning around rather than discovering.
The address matters more than the town — it decides the vehicle as well as the timing. Send it with the date and the group size and we will plan around it.
